Haitian White Rice Recipe & Chicken Mixed Vegetable

White Rice Chicken Mixed Vegetable

INGREDIENTS

3 lb. whole chicken wings

1/2 shallot, diced

2 tsp of garlic, minced

1 tbsp. of lime juice

4 sprigs of fresh parsley

4 sprigs of fresh thyme

1 tsp. black pepper

1/2 scotch bonnet pepper

1/2 red pepper

1 Maggi chicken cube

1 tbsp of Adobo or seasoning salt

3 Green onions

White vinegar

DIRECTIONS

First make the spices

1. Get your blender

2. Place in it the red pepper, green onion, garlic, lime juice, maggie chicken cube

3. Blend it to your liking.

 

Wash the chicken

1. Wash the chicken with vinegar

2. Boil water

3. Once you are done washing the chicken and the water is boiled, put the chicken wing in the water for 2 minutes.

4. Take out the chicken, place it in a pot; pour out the spice from the blender on it.

5. make sure it’s marinated well.

6. Then put 3 cup of water

7. Put it on the stove until its starts to boil.

8. After 15 minutes of it boiling, you are not ready to put your mix vegetable. You can use fresh vegetable but I used frozen bag from the market.

9. Let it simmer down until cooked

 

Now for the haitian white rice

1. Preheat the pot

2. Put 3 tsp of oil

3. Put on green onion and let it fry till it’s brown. Put 1 tsp of salt

4. Put 5 cup of water let it boil, then put 3 cup white rice.

5. Let the water dry in the rice down, the cover it. Reduce the heat and leave it on for about 6-10 minutes base on how you like your rice.
